I'm going to talk about Jazz's history (the parts I know of). Last summer when I went to Napan for the Napan Agri Fair a lady came up to Jazz and I and asked where we got him from. I answered from david in Petit-Rocher. The lady said "That's my horse. I had him ever since he was a baby." we didn't take her too seriously because she said that her horse had a snip (I later realised that Jazz has a sort of snip on his upper lip)We talked to Jazz's previous owner and he said that this lady indeed had him since he was born and kept him until he was 5 to do trail rides all over NB. He was then sold to a guy in Quebec who wanted to do barrels with him. David bought him a month later and kept him at Lucille Aube's barn for 5 years. He rarely rode him and never did any real work with him. Then I bought him when he was 10. I've had him for 2 years now and worked really hard with him. He went from a horse who only wanted to run and reared all the time to a calm gentle man who takes care of little kids and will give his 110 % for me. I can ride him no bridle or saddle through a pattern or over a 3 feet jumping course. I've barrel raced him all summer and he has been awesome giving me his all. We went to the Napan fair, beating proffesional barrel horses and riders who have been doing it their whole life. This summer we got many first places, 2nds, 3rds, 4ths, 5ths and 6ths, almost always placing. He is just an awesome little horse willing to please anyone. I've seen this horse carry a 5 year old around the ring at a walk and then racing a truck going 40 miles an hour with me (not something I would do again but it was fun!) He has the ability to go much much higher in jumping (about 4 feet since he's only about 14.2-14.3) but it's not the fact that he's good at jumping that makes him so exceptional at it it's that he really gives everything's got. Anyways i guess I should be talking about that in the "Training" page! haha. Enjoy!
